Preparing a place

I don't know about you momma's but the closer I get to my due date the more emotional I get about seeing my son face to face. My hubby and I have been preparing a place for our son for sometime now. The nursery is getting closer to getting done by our standards. I just get so excited about seeing the little things come together. For example:the stuffed bears, the music, picking out the curtains, arranging his closet, washing some of his clothes and placing them in the right spot. These are just a few of the many joys I get to experience while preparing for our little prince.

This may make sense and it may not but it got me to thinking about how God prepares a place for us in Heaven. I thought about the work he is doing behind the scenes and the work here on earth that we must do to follow him. I did tear up at the thought of how much more I understand that parent/child relationship that God/Jesus has with each one of us. Even though our little guy is not here yet face to face,I love him with all my being and soul. I will always love him no matter what! Yet, there will be trying times and times that I must discipline him but that does not change my love for him! God/Christ must fell this way about us. He directs, guides, disciplines, and still shows us his love! So think about it today, what are you doing to prepare for Heaven and what is God/Christ doing to prepare a place for you?

John 14:1-3

"1 Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Have a blessed day friends!!!

No new year's resolution here....

Did I tell you how much I do not like making New Year's Resolutions?! Well, it comes from a long line of making them and breaking some. After many years, I finally decided no more resolutions. How about y'all do you make them or not? If you do, do you have a time frame as to when they must be accomplished? I can tell you I am looking forward to meeting my sweet baby boy in the new year. I am so excited!!! Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
