3

My baby turned 3 on April 1st! For me 3 is such a big number. it takes him from babyish to toddler to boy pretty quick. Of course it happened before he turned 3! We had planned a big P-A-R-T-Y! That all got turned upside down when our water heater busted and all of our furniture was in the middle of our house. We also had people painting the inside of our home and they were not done yet. So we had to cancel the big P-A-R-T-Y. It was very difficult to make that decision since we had planned to invite everyone so we as a family could say goodbye/farewell to our Houston friends. That is why it was so hard on us to cancel. We had B-I-G plans for the whole weekend. That is okay. So
metimes you have to do what you have to do. My brother and sister in law were still coming so we decided to have his 1st party at the hotel we were staying at for the weekend. It was just my side of the family. My theme from the very beginning was trains trains trains. I even came up with a very inexpensive goodie bag but I will save it for next year. That is the beauty of it there is always next years party. We still did trains! We had a great time. We rode a mini-train downtown to start the festitives and then we headed back for lunch and cake. He really loves his Uncle and Aunt!

Then we traveled on his actual birthday to hubby's parents to celebrate with that side of the family. Hubby's mom and dad got him a Thomas cake! This kid had more cake and cupcakes than I care to admit. I was afraid he was going to start thinking every weekend was his birthday. I think he will remember this birthday for a long time!

Birthday Party

I know it has been awhile but I have been one busy momma with birthday party planning and all. I had family from out of town come just to see my lil man turn 2! My brother and sis-n-law came all the way from Montana. Anyway, the cake turned out good. I was even told that it tasted good. So, thank you Daicia and Carly for giving me the courage I needed to do something I always wanted to do! We had a great time just visiting with friends and family. I think the kiddos enjoyed the egg hunt as well. I was told that the blue icing on the cup cakes made the parents think of the smurfs(lol). So, here are some pics from the big day. Thank you to my friend Molly for taking them for me!

This is my favorite picture of that day.

A fork is very important for an egg hunt! lol

The big gift!

Having the party at the clubhouse with a park area close by was GREAT!

Of course balloons are a must at a party!

I really enjoyed the day! It was so much fun watching the kiddos play on the park area, eat blue icing, hunt for eggs, and seeing friends gather around just because of my son. That to me just makes my heart sing with JOY! Thank you to all who helped me make this day a great one! God bless!

Books, Cupcakes, Dr. Seuss, and A Wagon

Here are the pictures from the big birthday party! I say big only because it was his first! We asked our friends to bring books instead of toys for our lil man's first birthday. He loves books! We had the hat of the Cat and the Hat in a cupcake cake!

Once everyone arrived we started the dvd that featured his first year. Hubby did a great job!

Then the lil kiddos each got a cupcake and ice cream and ate them outside.

My son DOES NOT like sweets! It may look like he ate it but really he treated like a car racing through mud making tracks!
